Social Media & Marketing Internship

We're looking for Social Media & Marketing Interns who are excited and passionate about social media and health and want to learn more about marketing, digital production, and communications strategies. We want someone that is interested in becoming an expert on expanding our social media platforms and growing our Health Activist community.

Social Media & Marketing Intern
  • Work with production, community, sponsor, and sales teams
  • Help to create standardized templates for WEGO Health presentations and sponsor programs
  • Create continuity for WEGO Health across current social networks and applications; identify additional outlets for WEGO Health
  • Use social media tools (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Plus, etc.) to promote the WEGO Health brand and create continuity of brand
  • Help identify Health Activists across different conditions for participation in programs and conferences
  • Research how a variety of health topics are portrayed and discussed on the web
  • Discover relevant health content (news articles, eBooks, webinars, etc.) that can be shared on the WEGO Health social networks
  • Help develop programs to add reach and depth to the WEGO Health brand both among the community and among possible sponsors
The ideal candidate should be:
  • An expert with social media tools and platforms – blogging, discussion forums/message boards, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
  • Adept at online research and navigating the web
  • Intermediate-to-advanced users of Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Interested and experienced in writing copy for social media (i.e., using hashtags, writing Tweets, utilizing images in posts, etc.)
  • Interested in health topics and issues
  • Excited to explore new social media networks and brainstorm how WEGO Health can best utilize them
  • Naturally inquisitive
  • An independent worker

Sponsor Programs Manager

Execute and help evolve our innovative community sponsorship programs as a liaison between pharmaceutical/health companies and our network of online Health Activists. You’ll work directly with our Sponsor Programs Director and our Community Team in a fast-paced, always-changing role.

Sponsor Program Management
  • Manage project plans and schedules, working with tech, community and product teams
  • Implement social media marketing programs working with some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and health companies
  • Execute all aspects of sponsor programs, working with our community team to find appropriate but effective ways to educate and engage
  • Coordinate and participate in market research, community education, technical development and program tracking efforts
  • Drive our on-time, everyone’s-happy, under-promise / over-deliver approach
  • Community Recruitment
  • Work directly with our Community Team to contact Health Activists for participation in sponsored programs
  • Drive online social media marketing campaigns to identify and vet Health Activists for our network
  • Bring new ideas and energy to engage our health social media opinion leaders
New Sponsor Development
  • Develop program proposals and participate in new sponsor meetings
  • Identify new sponsors through active research
  • Brainstorm new program ideas to match community needs with sponsor goals
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A talent for online and phone persuasion
  • Relentless enthusiasm for our mission + energy and intellectual curiosity
  • 2-3 years of account service experience, ideally at an online agency or publisher
  • A strong working knowledge of health; pharmaceutical marketing experience a plus
  • A great sense of humor
  • Comfort with technology, tools and cool new stuff, bordering on geeky
  • Good social skills online and in person – patience and wit are essential
  • Strong, professional writing skills online and everywhere else
  • Ability to work in a do-it-yourself, all-hands-on-deck startup environment

Social Media and Marketing Associate

What you'll be doing:

Seeking digital and social media contractor with digital marketing experience to assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing programs.

This person will be a creative thinker, with interest in b2b and digital marketing. Experience working in the health and/or pharmaceutical industry a plus, but not required. This is an entry-level position; someone with great attention to detail and a quick learner is ideal.

This role will support all b2b digital marketing efforts for the company, and will also work alongside the community team to execute social media projects for our patient communities.

This person is ideally a strong writer, with a journalism or marketing/PR background, with digital marketing experience.

This person will ideally know how to use Hubspot or have experience with a social media scheduling tool, as they will be responsible for using Hubspot to manage social media content. Experience using Unbounce a plus but not required. This person will ideally have some experience using an email marketing tool, particularly Silverpop.

This person must not only be familiar with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google Plus, but should also be knowledgeable about social media analytics and best practices.  We are looking for someone with a lot to share, and someone who is ready to learn.  We are a collaborative company and a team player with high energy would be a great fit to join this fun, all hands on deck team.

Account Services Associate

What you'll be doing:

Seeking Sponsor Programs Associate, ideally with some marketing and client interaction experience, to assist in the creation and execution of social media marketing programs in the healthcare space.

This person will be a creative thinker, interested in healthcare and improving patient outcomes, be organized, and have an interest in sales, account management and digital/social media marketing. Experience working in the health and/or pharmaceutical industry a plus, but not required. This is an entry-level position; someone with great attention to detail and a quick learner is ideal.

This role will support sponsor and sales efforts for the company, and will also work alongside the sponsor team to execute social media projects with pharmaceutical and healthcare companies for our patient communities.

This person is generally very comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft suite; comfortable with learning new content management and CRM systems;  is interested in helping create sponsor proposals, program deliverables;  and is eager to be a part of a fun-loving, hard-working team.
